Coe Tennis at the NCAA's

Headed out after work Friday to St. Louis to watch Coe Tennis play at Washington University. Good to get out of town for a weekend and see old friends. Here are some photos.

Columbus Crew Game

Went to the Columbus Crew game this Saturday with a few buddies. Lower level tickets and a $5 food voucher for $8 through the Ohio Union. Quite a steal. Plus we got to see the French legend Thierry Henry pictured above.

We're number 3! We're number 3! We're number 3!...

Props to my high school, St. Anthony Village, for the recognition from US News as a Gold Medal School. Obviously the rankings are simply just rankings based off of some pre-determined criteria so I won't take too much from the #3 but definitely proud to have my high school recognized. I always felt I got a top education there personally and that is what truly matters.

Before you write off humanity....

So I'm sure everyone now has heard and seen what happened at yesterday's Boston Marathon. My deepest condolences to the victims and families. Before everyone writes off humanity following yesterday's events they should probably have a look at this link

While there appears to be a never ending supply of those who wish to harm us, there also appears to be a much larger never ending supply of those who are willing to unconditionally put themselves in harm's way for strangers.

Kohawk tennis on the news

This is a news clip of my college tennis team that aired tonight. The news story doesn't lie when I visited there were people in the lounge all day watching Game Show Network and literally yelling at the contestants on the TV. While I was there I'll admit I was one of them. Glad to see they are studying hard!
That being said they haven't yet lost this year so I guess you can't argue with that.

March Sadness :(

Well up through Saturday evening my bracket was awesome. I was in the 99.2% on ESPN.com with 1 of my Final Four teams (Syracuse) in the Final Four and the other 3 playing to get in. OSU ended Saturday by laying an egg and losing to Wichita State. Then Florida (my champion) proceeded to get walloped by Michigan and Duke (my runner-up) went on to lose to Louisville getting killed in the second half. If Louisville managed to lose its next game to Wichita State I will actually win my bracket pool and take the money but based off their games so far I do not have high hope. I will then finish 3rd and get my money back which at the beginning of the tournament was my goal but when you are eyeing the #1 spot for so long its tough to let it go.
