So apparently Columbus has fireworks the night before the 4th of July. After getting off work at 8:30 I walked to West Campus (because the bike is still out of operations and the bus service is still on strike) and noticed everyone lining up on the bridge over the Olentangy River and learned fireworks were happening tonight. After a quick workout in the Arc I ran home to change and shower quick and went back to the bridge to watch. I was fairly far away but got a decent view. To the left is the new hospital they are building on campus which neighbors where I work now. Afterwards I met some students wandering around and hung out with them a bit before walking back to my car and returning home. Overall a reasonable evening.
